Meet Samantha Bagby, BSN, RN—a night shift nurse on the telemetry unit who’s as skilled with an ultrasound-guided IV as she is with a coffee order. Renowned for her ability to find a vein in the dark—literally—Samantha brings expertise, humor, and resilience to every shift. She graduated from Southwest Adventist University in 2024 and now works in the Neuro ICU at Texas Health Resources downtown. Samantha’s plans include becoming a flight nurse (perhaps to catch some sleep at 30,000 feet finally) and earning her Master of Science in Nursing.

When she’s not saving lives or dreaming of the skies, Samantha is on a quest to find the perfect cup of coffee, lift weights heavier than her medical textbooks, and devour books faster than a Netflix binge. She enjoys playing floorball and has recently taken up indoor rock climbing. If you have any coffee shop recommendations, she’s all ears—make sure they have a good reading nook!
