Botox Injection

Botulinum Toxins: $9.00 per Unit

Botulinum toxin, commonly referred to by brand names such as Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin, is a neurotoxin used for both medical and cosmetic purposes. Here’s a brief overview of patient education:

What is Botulinum Toxin?

Botulinum toxin is a protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. In small, controlled doses, it can be used to temporarily reduce muscle activity by blocking nerve signals to the muscles.

Uses
·       Cosmetic: Reduces the appearance of facial wrinkles, such as frown lines, crow's feet, and forehead lines.
·       Medical: Treats conditions like chronic migraines, excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), muscle spasticity, overactive bladder, and certain eye disorders like strabismus.

Procedure
·       Administration: The toxin is injected with a fine needle into specific muscles. The procedure is typically quick, often taking less than 30 minutes.
·       Discomfort: Most patients experience minimal discomfort, akin to a pinprick.

Results
·       Onset: Effects typically begin to appear within 7-14 days.
·       Duration: Results last about 3 to 4 months, after which repeat, treatments are needed to maintain effects.

Sclerotherapy: $125-$300 per session

Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure used to treat varicose veins and spider veins. It involves injecting a solution directly into the affected veins, causing them to collapse and eventually fade from view. Here’s some patient information on sclerotherapy:

What is Sclerotherapy?
Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive treatment primarily used to eliminate varicose veins and spider veins. The procedure can improve the appearance of veins and alleviate symptoms such as aching, swelling, and night cramps.

How It Works
Solution Injection: A sclerosing solution is injected into the vein, irritating the lining of the blood vessel. Vein Closure: This irritation causes the vein walls to stick together, and seal shut, preventing blood flow through the vein. Absorption: Over time, the treated vein turns into scar tissue and is absorbed by the body, disappearing.

 Procedure Details

Duration: Typically takes 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the number and size of veins being treated. Discomfort: Patients may experience mild discomfort, such as a slight burning or cramping sensation during the injection.

Red light Therapy:
$20 per 15-minute session

Red light therapy (RLT) is a non-invasive treatment that uses low-level wavelengths of red light to improve skin health and appearance. It's often used in facial treatments to promote skin rejuvenation. Here's some patient information on red light therapy for facial treatments:

What is Red Light Therapy?
Red light therapy involves exposing the skin to low levels of red or near-infrared light. This type of therapy is believed to stimulate cellular activity, enhancing skin health and appearance.

How It Works
·       Cellular Stimulation: Red light penetrates the skin to stimulate cellular energy production, boosting the repair and regeneration of skin cells.
·       Collagen Production: The therapy is thought to increase collagen production, which can help reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
·       Circulation and Inflammation: It may also improve blood circulation and reduce inflammation, contributing to healthier skin.

Benefits
· Anti-aging: Helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
·       Skin Tone and Texture: Can improve skin tone, texture, and overall radiance.
·       Acne and Scarring: May reduce acne and the appearance of scars.
·       Healing: Supports faster healing of damaged skin.

Procedure Details
·       Session Length: Sessions typically last about 10 to 20 minutes.
·       Comfort: The procedure is painless and non-invasive, with most patients finding it relaxing.
·       Frequency: Multiple sessions are usually recommended for optimal results, often weekly initially.

Side Effects
·       Minimal Risk: Red light therapy is generally considered safe with minimal risk of side effects.
·       Mild Reactions: Some individuals might experience temporary redness or tightness in the treated area.
